Today we had a special presentation by Kate MacNeil from the Ottawa Carleton Wildlife Centre. She spoke about the diverse wildlife we find in and around Ottawa and explained the importance of protecting our biodiversity. Conflicts often arise when animals and humans share habitat in an urban area and so she gave us many suggestions to coexist peacefully with the many species around us. We also got to hear some pretty cool animal noises (Oh! So that's what the fox says!) and got to view some animal artifacts.
